Warm up and Cool Down
Warm Up > should involve 3 stages including a general warm up, stretching and specific warm up. refers to the preparation prior to exercise that results in an increased body temperature, blood flow and suppleness of the body's muscles and other soft tissues.
Cool Down > allowing the body’s temperature to fall, a reduction in blood pooling and lactic acid. As a result, this allows for a faster and more effective recovery as it reduces muscle stiffness, soreness and fatigue of the body. should always involve static stretches such as hamstring stretches, blood pooling is reduced as well as lactic acid levels are able to return to normal or slowly decrease, limiting the risk of delayed onset muscle soreness and fatigue.
