Palisade mysophyll
Palisade cells packed with chloroplast (Contains chlorophyll which help absorb light for photosynthesis)
Spongy mesophyll filled with air spaces, allows CO2 to diffuse from the stomata through the spongy mesophyll to the palisade cells

-
Xylem
-
Can also transport mineral ions like magnesium, used to make chlorophyll.
-
Lower Epidermis
Tiny pores called Stomata (Allows carbon dioxide to enter the leaf and let oxygen come out, also helps amount of water vapour that can pass out of the leaf)
-
Upper epidermis
Covered in an oily material called the waxy cuticle (reduces water evaporation from the surface of the leaf
