What do we fill our minds with? What do we allow the minds of our children to be filled with? Makes me wonder - what are we really hungry for?
Hunger for righteousness

Adam and eve. walking with God, each other and creation. then: fear and self-protection. blamegame. eve. serpent.
not personal holiness. right relationships—with God, others, and creation.

Jesus teaches that contempt, not just murder, destroys God’s image in others. Lust, not just adultery, reduces people to objects rather than honoring them as God’s image-bearers.

Failure point. Fear and Anger. Fear, misunderstand character and nature of God. anger, not what we expect of God
unlearn what I just learned. purge it from my mind. impossible. search brain for comforting thought. idea. theological construct. scripture to quench the anger and hopelessness i feel.

The problem is too big. Maybe God invented superheroes, but I was not one of them. But then I learned about Biblical justice.

God's heart breaks. He choses to work through us. we need to be obedient with what we can do, feel that painpoint of failure, we can't fix the problem. i dont have any power to do that. but He does. through each small or big things we do. our attempts to avoid injustice keeps us from depending on God. Trusting God He is holding each person subject to injustice in His hands.

Sometimes we worry about looking “spiritually put-together,” when what God really wants is people who show up barefoot, broken, but hungry for righteusness.
So now what?

- Biggest one: critically look at the amount of your consumption and where you buy.
- Make supporting justice work a budget item in your monthly budget.
For a lot of ppl: things are not things, they form you identity. We get meaning in life from what we consume. So we consume a lot.
