Technology supports environmental management and sustainability. This includes protecting and keeping the animals habitat safe.

Leaner will be able to explore by creating or starting their own comport bins at home.

Leaners will learn that in order to protect animals that we need to think wisely when creating technology to use on or for animals

Key Knowledge
Earthworms improve our soil. Earthworms eat organic matter and produce nutrient-rich castings.
Their movement aerates the soil, making it easier for plants to grow

Put worms in a container and let the leaners watch how the worms in the soil. Observation

Understanding whey worms is so important in our daily life with they our soil will not be good enough to plant food to eat

The role of the bee: Bees move a something called pollen for flower to flower. This helps plants to produce fruits and seeds. This helps with producing food

Let learners watch youtude videos to show them how bees transfer pollen form flower to flower and how that will help humans

Leaners need to get information by talking to a few different people to learn and get answers on how they and people around them can take care of animals. They can also get information on how animals helps us in our daily lives. This information can them be shared by the class

Leaners need to know the following from animals: That animals provide us with food, That animals help with managing the environment around up and animals are important in and that we should take care of them

Animals do help humans in a lot of different jobs on a daily basis. Here is a few examples of animals helping humans on a daily basis: Guide dogs: help blind people move safely. Therapy animals (dogs, horses): provide comfort and support to people in hospitals, schools, or care centers.
SKILLS
Observational skill: Leaners need to observe to identify witch animal and match the animal with the job the animal assists with on a daily basis
VALUES
Leaners need to to gain empathy and care for the animals that help us on a daily basis. Leaners can also learn that a human and animal can work together as a team.
