Sub- topic 1. Where milk comes from?
1 Engaging Activity: Provide a hands-on sensory station where learners “milk” a pretend cow (use a rubber glove filled with water or milk tied to a chair as udders).
Key concept: Cows produce milk that humans use to make different dairy products like cheese, yogurt, and butter. Children learn milk comes from animals and not shops.
Sub-topic 2: Bees and pollination
Engaging Activity: Learners take a walk in the garden and observe flowers, they use toy bees and imitate they are pollunating the flowers, they record their findings and discuss why bees are so important
Key Concept: Bees help providing humans with food such as honey, fruits and vegetables by transfering pollen from flower to flower, and that helps plants reproduce .
TECHNOLOGY
Sub topic 1: Homes
Key Concept: Learn about the different homes of animals
1 Engaging Activity: Build an animal home of their choice using recyclable material
Sub topic 2: Assistive devices for animals and humans
1 Engaging Activity: Examine pictures of harnesses or equipment like saddle, wheelchair, a cart and a guide dog vest and compare it to each animal and how it helps humans.
Key Concept: Learn about different tools that help animals help us.
