Post Critical Listening
Moving beyond critical distance and romanticized listening, post-critical listening calls to attention how listening misshaped by institutions, bias, cultural norms, access, technology, and political frameworks. this context is historically ignored by easthetic theory. This involves listening with an emphasis on experience, participation, and situated meaning. Through this lens, labor, economy, identity, and space are considered as part of listening and sound is heard as network field of forces.
