Hundred Years War
The hundred years war was the most destructive conflict in western european history, coinciding with the Black Death.
Started out as a fight between the English and French kings, Edward the III and Philip the IV
Their beef was over if the english lands in France were property of the english, or french monarchies.

It was also fought over economics and wealth, as the english sought to defend lucrative trade.
It was by and large, the longest actual war ever fought in Europe.
It was also the first time the English and French started fighting, starting their centuries long rivalry.
It was also the first time that the English parliment had actively used it's authority to hamper the king.
