- - - - The teacher will discuss with learners how the animal, cartwheels and harness make a system where each part works together to move objects from one place to another.
        
        The teacher will show learners pictures of a donkey pulling a wagon, and dogs pulling a sledge.
        
        Then the teacher will demonstrate to learners how to make a wagon using recyclable materials (cardboard boxes, straws, bottle caps, and string) to design a small model of an animal transport system.
        
        Then the learners will test whether the wheels of the wagon are moving properly.
        
        The teacher will discuss with learners what worked well and what could be improved in their design.
    - - Definition: Understanding how different parts of a system work together to make movement possible (Naudé &Meier, 2016).
  - - - Definition: The use of tools or materials and a technological process to solve problems and gain a specific goal. (Naudé &Meier, 2016).
    - - Learners will design an injection that is used to treat animals if they are sick.
        
        Leraners will engage with different materials when designing the injection using recycled materials which will promote thier tactile senses, allowing them to ask questions about the texture of the injection and the materials they are used..
        
        The learners will present their designs, test the see if the injection is strong enough to inject an animal.
        
        Then, reflect by writing or skertch their findings and observations.
- - - - Definition: Matter and Materials involve the study of non-living materials (natural and synthetic)
        to understand their structure, reactions and
        change.
        
        Thus, matter is anything that occupies space and has mass, e.g solid, gas, liquid, or even air.
        
        Matter makes up everything around us.
        
        While materials are types or forms of matter that we use to make things. They are classified based on their properties and uses, e.g cotton, plastic, copper and so on (Naudé &Meier, 2016).
    - - The teacher will discuss with learners to help them understand that they will be identifying different materials used by dogs, donkeys and horses. Step 1: The teacher will show learners the physical materials and allow them to interact with the materials to spark curiosity and engagement. Step 2: The teacher then demonstrates how the learners are going to cut and paste. Step 3: Then, learners will cut and paste the materials to match each animal ( materials used: saddle, leash, harness, cartwheel, leather). Lastly, learners will be able to identify the materials used with animals to when helping people.
  - - - Defination: The study of living things /organisms and their characteristics, behaviors and interactions with their enviroment (CAPS, 2011).
    - - The teacher will arrange a physical visit to the farm, where learners will be able to classify the characteristics of the animals, explore and observe how these products are collected, made and where the animals' products come from. Then discuss the process of how animals help meet human needs. Learners will be able to explain how milk is made or why we keep the farm animals.
- - - - Defination: Relationship and interdependence refers to how people and the environment are connected, work together and help one another in communities.
        
        Relationships describe how individuals and groups interact, for example, how people live and work together in families, schools, and communities.
        
        Interdependence means dependence between people or systems, how humans depend on each other and on the environment to meet their needs (for food, water, shelter, work, and services) (Naudé &Meier, 2016).
    - - Step 1: The teacher will arrange with the principal and the parents to take the learners to a police station where the police work with a K9 unit dog. Step 2: The learners will interview the police men and ask questions about their relationships and interdependence with the dogs helps them to catch thieves; the community and bad people. Step 3: Then learners record findings in a simple drawing and a class discussion in their own words. Learners will understand why relationships with others, dogs and the invironment is important.
  - - - Definition: To carefully maintain and upkeep natural resources to prevent them from extinction, including human, wildlife, environment and marine conservation (Naudé &Meier, 2016).
    - - Step 1: The teacher will put learners into four groups and assign each group an animal (group 1: Dogs, group 2: donkeys, group 3: cows).
        *Step 2: Each group will investigate the role of the animal in the community, where this animal is used and the need for conservation.
        Step 3: Then, each group will create a poster to let others know the importance of conservation.
        Step 4: Each group will present their poster to the class, explaining it in their own words. Lastly the teacher will discuss the importance of working animals in conservation and allowing open and closed-ended questions. Learners will be able to critically think and come up with solutions on their own.
