What is a digital device
A digital device is any electronic device that uses digital (binary) signals -o's and1s-to process, store or transmit information
Key features: Process data in binary form/Can store and retrieve digital information/Often programmable and can connect to phones

MAIN INTERNAL COMPONENTS
CPU-the brain of the computer
Motherboard-main circuit board that connects all the components
RAM-temporary memory used to store data data the computer
Storage/HDD-storage for large amounts of data
GPU-handles graphics and video. Important for gaming, design and video editing
PSU-converts electricity from the wall into power for the components

SERVERS
A server is a fast, powerful computer with extensive storage capacity. In a small network, the server will not look much different from the main processor box, containing the CPU and disk drive, supplied with a powerful PC.
