Class activity- Learners observe flowers outdoors and records which insects visit them (by drawing pictures). (DBE,2011)

Concept 2- People care for farm animals responsibly.
Class Activity- Sort and match pictures of animals with what they produce (milk, eggs and wool). (Gordan & Browne, 2017).

Class activity- Role-play a helper animals job ( example- guide dog, police dog, donkey carrying goods). (Eisner, 2002).

Class Activity - Learners interview family members about special animals in their transitions. (Gordan & Browne, 2017).

Class activity- build a small model animal shelter using recycled materials. (Eisner, 2002).

Concept 2- Technology makes animal care easier and more efficient.
Class activity- Design a simple drawing of a feeding tool or water system for pets. (DBE, 2011).

Class activity- Learners match animals to inventions inspired by them (bird-airplane, fish-submarine). (DB,2011).
