Hazards in Bulgaria
Landslides
The only way of prevention of casualties is safer infrastructure and alerts to the people for dangerous places.
The could completely cut off transport, especially if they happen on a major road which is the only way to a small living space.
The economic impacts would most likely consist of restricted trade of goods as well as inability of people to commute to work.
Landslides could potentially cause casualties, but also cut of the supply of goods or even the water supply of a residential area if they somehow hit a pipe and break the waterflow.
In very rare cases it could cause full isolation from the outside world, but overall there are more risks for the health and supply of food and water for the residential area.
Landslides occur when a mass of rocks and dirt slip and start falling down, which could be caused by erosion, underground water flows, etc.
Earthquakes

The social impact it could have is homelessness, as (again depending on the magnitude) it is possible that some constructions will crumble.
As a consequence of it there will be physical damage and, logically, damage on businesses and tourism.
Depending on the magnitude of the earthquake, the natural hazard can lead to many injured and even cases of death.
Earthquakes are a consequence of massive release of friction due to a tectonic plate that slides below another.
Floods
The prevention of floods or minimizing their damage would consist of mostly regulations on where to build as there are some areas more likely to get flooded than others, and leaving enough drainage space. General infrastructure regulations.
The economic impact would mostly consist of damaged property (like ruined crops) which would then impair the workflow of the area and cost money to fix.
As floods are overall very dangerous, they could cause casualties and many of them considering the hard transportation and depending of the severity of the flood.
Casualties, damaged property, impaired workflow, generally the whole area would be at least unable to work or function socially until the flood is drained.
Floods could be caused by overflowing rivers into usually dry regions, by heavy rains or fast melting of a snow layer.
