A Tour Of The Cell
Mitosis: The process of cell division that includes stages if the cell separation, one cell divides into two, creating a new cell
Telophase- last stage of mitosis, chromosomes and chromatid move apart from each other and nuclei is formed
-
-
Metaphase- second stage of mitosis, chromosomes get attached to spindle fibers and line up in the middle
Anaphase- chromosomes are apart from each other on opposites sides of the cell, with spindle fibers
Microscopes
Resolutions- anility to decipher between objects; clarity (EX. can see two cells when resolution is high)
Contrast- brightness
Light Microscope: (LM) uses light and glass to view specimens and can even view Cytokinesis (46 chromosomes and new cells have been created/split, unreplicated)
Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM): uses a beam of electrons on the surface of the specimen (3D view)

Endomembrane System

-
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum- contains Ribosomes (hence the R in Rough), make proteins
