        Learners observe pictures or short videos showing animals doing different kinds of work (e.g., guide dogs, donkeys, horses). They than discuss in groups: How do these animals help people in their daily lives?, Learners draw or act out one animal at work
        
        Animals That Give Us Food and Clothes
        
        Certain animals provide humans with essential resources such as milk, eggs, meat, and wool, which are vital for survival and comfort (DBE, 2011; Naudé & Meier, 2025).
        
        Learners match pictures of animals (e.g., cows, chickens, sheep) with the products they provide (e.g., milk, eggs, wool).
        They create a “Farm to Family” poster showing how we use these products in our daily lives.

        They create a “Product Journey Poster.”
    - - Farmers use technology such as feeding systems, incubators, and shearing tools to care for animals efficiently (UNESCO, 2024).
        
        Learners design or draw a simple tool or machine that could help feed chickens or shear sheep

        In small groups, they discuss and match each animal to the product it provides.
    - - Some animals, such as bees, earthworms, and ants, help the environment by pollinating plants, decomposing waste, and enriching the soil. These roles maintain healthy ecosystems and support life on Earth (UNESCO, 2024; SACNASP, 2023).
        
        Learners observe a simple soil jar experiment with earthworms or look at images/videos of bees pollinating flowers. They discuss in groups. How do these animals help the environment? Why are they important for plants? Learners draw one helpful creature and write one sentence about its role in nature.
