Animals in culture
Activity- Learners will be instructed to investigate and do some research by asking their parents or their guardians about how they make a living through animals.
Skiils- Communicating and being aware of their culture in helping learners in speaking by sharing their ideas, listening to what the other has to say and connecting with others.
Animals have a symbolic and practical roles in different communities.
Value- have some respect on others' beliefs and their different backgrounds.
Working animals
Activity- Learners will pair in two groups, one will play a role of a guiding dog while one will be kept blind folded to show how guiding dog can help the blind walk safely when crossing roads.
Skill- promote empathy and understanding animals' roles in society
Police and home guiding dogs for safety and security in their daily lives.
Value- Leaners understand the importance of caring for others and making sure everyone feel safe, seen and supported.
Technology
Animal inspired inventions
Activity- Learners will design a tool for their inspired animal.
Skill- Encourages creative minds and designs.
Biodesign- looking at how animals and ecosystem work and use the ideas found to create a better tool, buildings, clothing.
Value- They learn how to solve problems and coming up with new strategies to improve their old design and make better ones.
Building animals' shelters
Activity- Learners will be told to build houses for their type of animals such as dog kennel using recyclable materials.
Skill- promote practical thinking in planning and building.
Constructing homes for animals that help us.
Value- they learn how to be responsible and caring for their animals and their habitats.
