neuromuscular
colgi tendionoe
-
Location: GTO's are found in skeletal muscle fibres, specfically where the muscle fibres attach to tendons
Activation: when the muscles contracts, the tension in the tendons stretches and GTO's collagen fibres
-
-
receptors
-
barro
they detect blood pressure be detecting the stretch on the walls of major artieries causing vaso contstriction or dilation to happen
chemo
detect changes in o2 levels and co2 levels and ph levels in your blood
they send signals to your brain to keep them balanced which is homeostasis
then your brain adjust your breathin rate to balance them
-
motor units
your brain decides to move like moving your arm for example so it sends a electircal signal down your spinal cord to a motor neuron then sends the signal to the muscle fibres it controls then these muscle fibres conract and cause movement.
-
for small movements they use small motor units and big movements they ude bigger units
type 1 for lightweight
and type 2a and x for heavier
muscle spindles
-
muscle spindles are tiny sensory receptors inside your muscles. they act like little sensors that detect how much your muscles are stretched
