sole traders
-owns and runs the business -no legal distinction exsists between the business and the sole trader -sole trader has privacy and limited accountability
partnership
-decisions made jointly by partners -business is owned and managed by more than one person -can offer a more varied service conpared to a sole trader -more stable and have a higher likelihood of continuity

publicly held companies
-shareholders own bur do not necasairly run the buisness -the business and owner are legally seperate entities. -investor has limited liability
private sector companies
e.g toms- for every pair of shoes that toms sells, the company donates one pair of shoes to underprivilahhed children in developing countries and emerging markets
public sector companies
e.g- for profit organizations that make meals and deliver them to older people who for financial or physical reasons are unable to repapre their own meals
cooperatives
