Euclid, Greek mathematician, founded geometry. He made five postulates (rules):
- A straight line can be drawn joining any two points.
- A circle can be drawn with any center and any radius.
- A straight line can be extended indefinitely to a line.
- All right angles are equal to one another.
- Parallel postulate. If a line intersects two lines so that the sum of the interior angles on one side is less than two right angles, the lines intersect on that side if extended.
