Following Kahu et. al, what are some of the aspects of college "Belonging," and how do they look/feel?
"familiarity" -- getting ones feet underneath you at a new place; "precursor to deeper interpersonal and academic belonging" (16)
interpersonal belonging: belonging with the people around you in the space (13) "keen to make new friends"

academic belonging: feeling like you belong in the class, in the discipline, and the department; it increases the sense of "self-efficacy" (the idea that you can do that) (14)
How does CC complicate or create new opportunities for belonging as a PWI, elite residential liberal arts college that costs a bajillion dollars?
