Mass specific BMR will be higher in animals with high activity levels in comparison to animals with low activity levels.

results
he Mass-specific BMR is smaller in birds compared to mammals, following the idea that birds are more active at smaller weights to keep up with their nutrition in comparison to larger animals that are slow grazers.
Introduction
question and hypothesis
-
Mass specific BMR will be higher in animals with high activity levels in comparison to animals with low activity levels.
BMR overall is higher in birds than mammals. but both groups can have very different lifestyles, looking at scaleing and the overall mass-specific BMR should give a better understanding on how activity is tied to an organisms metabolism insted of purely internal factors.
unknown/problem
however when looking at a wide range of specemins the overall conclusion that BMR scales directly with mass, becomes cloudy.
with considerations to Mass-specific BMR however, looking at energy expenditure per unit of body mass. better comparasons can be made looking at wider ranges of species. For example looking at the Mass-specific BMR's of birds and mammls, and seeing how they compare.
Background
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the ammount of energy an organism needs to sustain life functions. it is previously proposed that an organisms BMR scales with its mass.
approach
interpriting and formatting previously collected data to show comparasons in mass, BMR, mass-specific BMR and the direct ratios between Birds and mammals.
Methods

-
-
procedures
Collected datta from Quadvarkk archive. organized animals my mass and BMR. Calculated Mass-specific BMR, interprated collected data. experemented with data thorugh bargraphs with error and scatter plots to properly visualize and interprate data.
Results
Paragraphs
Although it is previously assumed that an animals BMR scales directly with their mass, it is not the complete story, though organizing data of a range of specemins it shows that there is a close relationship but the direct relationship to BMR is affected by the animals activity.

Dicussion
middle paragraphs
small animals and most birds are constantly hinting for food or hiding/running from preditors, showing a high BMR
-
larger animals that move more than others have higer BMRs compared to larger animals that move slower
1st paragraph
There shows to be a close relationship between mass and BMR however the rate is only consistent in animals with simular behaviors of movement. All major outlyers when looking at mass-specific BMR have a widely different level of avtivity ex, animals that mover extremely fast or slow for long periods of time.
