Powers of the Presidency
Legislative Powers
While the President is the head of the executive branch, responsible for enforcing laws. This includes the power to appoint federal officials, including Cabinet members and Supreme Court Justices (subject to Senate approval).
Foreign Policy Powers
The President is the chief diplomat and Commander-in-chief of the armed forces. They can negotiate treaties (w/ senate ratification or consent).
Judicial Powers
The President has the power to grant pardons and reprieves for federal offenses except in cases of impeachment.
Executive Powers
