Osei Tutu
A military leader who won control of the trading city of Kumasi. He then conquered neighboring people and unified the Asante Kingdom.
Oyo Empire
It arose from waves of settlements by the people known as Yoruba from present-day Nigeria. It started as a relatively small forest kingdom. Used wealth gained fromthe slave trade to build large armies.
