The Good things
They are highly social and Affectionate
They clean themselves like cats (they are clean😁)
Easy to litter train🚽
They all have unique personalities
They can be comforting and have therapeutic benefits
They can preform tricks just like dogs 🐀🎪
The bad things
Their short lifespan so if you get attached it can be very sad 🥺
Female rats in particular are prone to mammary tumors
They have Nocturnal nature (they are active at night)
Pet rats can carry germs that can be passed onto humans
You need to rat proof your home
They gnaw at things
They have constantly growing teeth they need to chew constantly to wear them down
You need to get another rat so it won’t be alone 🐀🐀🐀💕
