Croups
Sign/Symptons: fever, barking cough, stridor (VS: increased HR/R, possible low O2 sat.)

Pathio.: cause by inflamation/swelling in the larynx, trachea, pharynx (may be caused from an acute viral infection)

Epiglottitis

Signs/Symptoms: dsypnea, high fever, stridor, drooling, difficult swallowing, severe throat pain
Treatments: observe for any obstruction, position of comfort, high flow O2

RSV
Signs/Symptoms: cough, wheezing, fever, dehydration

Treatments: look for signs of de hydration, humidifed O2
-
Bronchiolitits
Signs/Symptoms:SOB, wheezing, coughing, fever, dehydration, tachypnea, tachycardia
Treatment: Supportive treatment, O2 therapy, position of comfort, suction mucucs from nostrils
Pathio: inflammation/filled with mucus in bronchioles, tiny airways, to aveoli (illness that may be caused by RSV)

Pneumonia
Signs/Symptoms: dsypnea, chills/fever, cough, red/green suptum, localized wheezie/crackle
Treatment:Airway support, supplemental oxygen

Onset: secondary infection, mostly affcet people who are term/chronic ill
Pertussis
Signs/Symptoms:fever, whooping cough, coughing spells
Treatment:Watch for signs of dehydration, O2, supportive therapy

Acute Pulmonary Edema
Signs/Symptoms:dyspnea, frothy pink sputum
Vitals: cool,diaphoritc, cyanotic, crackles/wheezing, tachy pulse
Pathio:Left side of the heart cannot remove blood from the lung as fast as the righ side delivers which then leads to fluid build up in the alveoli
COPD
Signs/Symptoms: Use of accessory muscle, barrel chest,rhonci breathing
Treatment: O2, patient meds
Pathio: Asthma, Emphysema, Bronchitis
Asthma
Signs/Symptoms: Wheezing on inspiration/expiration, bronchospasm

Signs/Symptoms: coldlike sympotoms, runny nose, sneezing, congestion

Signs/Symptoms: hives, itching, signs of shock

Sign/Symptoms:O2 sat may drop, cyanosis,dyspnea, tachycardia, tachypna, hypoxia, acute chest pain
Pathio:when the circultory systems moves from one point to another and reaches an obstruction of pathway
