Autumn Photoshoot Plan - Coggle Diagram
Autumn Photoshoot Plan
Theme/Concept
My theme is Autumn layering. I want to show how people style popular outerwear. such as big coats, scarves and boots when the weather starts to get colder.
The purpose is to capture a cozy but stylish vibe, similar to fashion campaigns from high street brands such as H&M and Zara
Location
Idea 2: A park with fallen leaves; this scenery would would feel authentic and presents a natural seasonal background.
Idea 3: Wooden benches and pathways, this would an ideal area for natural model poses.
Idea 1: A field at golden hour (3-5pm), the lighting at that time of day makes warmer tones stand out more and become more eyecatching.
All of these ideas would have to be done in outdoor environments. So if it rains for example, I'd improvise by moving my photoshoot to an indoor space such as a studio with suitable props to my theme.
Models
I'll use classmates/friends so my photoshoot feels more real and relatable for my age group, who are my main target audience.
I want them to look natural, doing things such as walking, sitting and chatting, instead of overly posed, like in street-style photography.
All of this would help me catch the attention of my target audience more (young people who shop from fast-fashion brands)
Outfits and Styling
Oversized coats and chunky knitwear are examples of products in the fashion industry, which are massively
trending this season and add texture to outfits.
Scarves, hats and boots are essential details that make autumn outfits more interesting.
A colour palette of neutral/earthy colours would match the leaves in Autumn and help keep the look of my photoshoot look consistent overall
Props/Equipment
-
-
Small props like a hot drink cup, a book, or a blanket helps to covey a casual environment and create lifestyle storytelling, not just the focus of fashion
Schedule/Shots list
-
-
-
Fun action shots, this would involve movements such as throwing leaves and walking down a path, etc.
This plan overall helps me stay organised and make sure I capture different angles for an evaluation later on.
Research links
I've looked at the Zara Autumn/Winter campaign and it mostly shows layering outfits with oversized coats and boots.
Additionally, I also looked at H&M's Online Autumn lookbook, which presented a lot of neutral colour styling
Other resources such as Pinterest also gave me ideas and inspiration for natural poses and everyday fashion
Evaluation/Reflection
After the shoot, I'll review my photos and select the ones which best show the autumn vibe.

If something didn't work (like bad lighting or too much shadow), i'll note how i'd fix that next time.
