TASK 2: 1. ACE inhibitors- induced cough Features: Dry cough, develops after a week of starting a medication resolves after stopping drugs 2. ASTHMA: Episodic cough worse at night or early morning, associated wheeze, Responds well to bronchodilators.
3. CHRONIC BRONCHITIS: productive cough for > 3 months, smokers, associated with exertional dyspnea. CT CHEST showing dilated bronchi.
4. TUBERCULOSIS: Chronic cough often with hemoptysis, weight loss, fever, night sweats. sputum AFb postive.
5. BRONCHIECTASIS: chronic productive cough, large purulent sputum, recurrent chest infections, on auscultation- coarse crackles. CT- bronchi dilated.
