User Requirements

Easy to use, featuring a simple layout that is competent enough to provide all of the data needed, as well as a simple and easy to use HCI that will transport the user to where they need to be on the spreadsheet system.
The spreadsheet must be smooth in transitions to other sheets, and it should contain no faults or bugs to provide 100% reliability to the client.
The spreadsheet will contain a range of data validation and verification tools to ensure that any data entered is correct where possible, and to minimise errors in the system. This is to ensure an easy to use experience for the spreadsheet.

House style

For my spreadsheet I will incorporate elements that match the overall colours and style of the Westwood Village hall.
Buttons and interactive elements of the HCI and spreadsheet will be made of a colour palette matching the logo.
HCI
A HCI system will be implemented in the home screen, and on a vertical column on each sheet of the solution. I am designing it so that it reduces time trying to find other sheets and to make it more explicit where the spreadsheets are and how to get to them.
The HCI will be designed with buttons and shortcuts that will follow the house theme matching the logo.
The HCI will work by programming buttons with macros to complete the action of going to another spreadsheet.
Security
The solution will be password protected to enter the system, so that no unauthorised people can access the spreadsheet and its contents. The spreadsheet will be encrypted by using the password WVH#26
Certain parts of the spreadsheet will have limited changeability to ensure that the spreadsheet is kept in the same format. Only text entries for data will be editable. This will be protected by using the protect range tool.

Target audience/user
The target audience is the manager of Westwood Village Hall, who has assigned us this project.

Mail Merge
The mail merge will be set up on the system. It will allow the manager to select a customer and send them a copy of their booking details. This will include:
-Date of invoice
-Customer ID
-Booking number and date of booking
-Cost per booking
-Total cost
