Have learners bring wool items from home. Learners will bring wool items from home and together the learners and the teacher will look at the items and describe things such as: texture, smell and look.

Bring honey and allow learners to taste. Learners will taste the honey and communicate with the teacher and each other on what the process was to get the honey in the classroom with them, after learning about the steps taken by bees to create the honey.

The learners will sort transportation based on whether we use it today or whether we used it in the past. Under a table with the headings: Transport of the past vs. Transport we use today. They will be provided various modes of transport and will be tasked with sorting them under the heading that fits.

Have learners match the working dogs to the person in the same profession using pictures and by drawing lines to connect them correctly. After this we will have a disucssion on why we need these dogs to help us in our daily lives.

The different types of sheep found in South Africa
The different characteristics of the sheep found in South Africa. [Pansegrouw, 2023]
Learners will create sheep using cotton wool balls. An outline of a sheep will be provided to them which will have trotters and a face with ears and learners will then be required to fill the sheep's body with cotton balls until completely covered. Learners will observe the different types of sheep and add horns or differences to their sheeps to represent one of the three sheep found in South Africa.

Have a silkworm in class that undergoes the cycle. Learners will observe the cycle and complete a template in which they will have to paste pictures in the correct order of the silkworm's cycle.
