The British passed an act that taxed all paper, glass, lead, and tea. They sent troops to enforce new taxes, but then took away everything but tea tax. Small band of patriots dressed as Native Americans, board English ships, and pour 342 chests of tea. The colonists went against the British tea tax and acted on their impulses, the British already taxed them and this was their response, damaging ghe relationship.
