Art on pages 28-29 it says they were molding clay into simple pots by the eighth millennium bce. some time before 3500 bce they invented the potter's wheel, witch made pottery production far more efficient.
Writing: on page 12 it says when mesopotamians first settled in villages and towns they used clay tokens to record sales and receipts.it also says writing was not invented by poets, authors, or even priest but by accountants. (Steele 12)

Architecture: on page 24-25 it says the word ziggurat is Assyrian and means height or pinnacle. it is a massive terrace platform made of brick. it represented a mountain. (Steele 24-25)

government: china's first government started in 221 B.C they were led by zhong. Zhong was the first emperor of the empire. the text says his name used to be qin but he later changed it to zhong.
art in the text it says that "china has always renowned for its exquisite arts and crafts". china rulers controlled the supplies of raw materials and ran factories instead. they also created tools and weapons.. (cotterell 56)
commerce (trade) on page 40 it said the main roads were lined with market stalls that sells all kinds of produce" also people would bye special dishes from stall holders and they would take them home to eat with there families. (cotterell 40)
religion: in the text it said that "in imperial china religious beliefs were divided into 3 ways. throughout its long history. china was tolerant of all religions. although there were lot of disagreements over religion in china was separated. (cotterall 26)
writing" on page 11 it said " the shang kings used oracle bones to consult the ancestral spirits". in order to find out answers to questions, the ox bone or tortoiseshell was scorched until it cracked. finally, the answers were inscribed on the oracle bone. (Cotterell 11)
