Informative
Non-literary texts (scientific, technical, newspapers, documents, speeches). Goal: convey information.

Written
Translation of written texts (books, articles, documents). May include translation of audio/video transcripts.
Oral (Interpreting)
Simultaneous
Interpreter translates while speaker talks (e.g., conferences).
Consecutive
Interpreter translates after the speaker finishes a phrase/section.
Whispered / Chuchotage
Interpreter whispers translation to 1–3 listeners without equipment.
Sight translation
Oral translation of a written text read aloud immediately.
Liaison interpreting
Accompanying individuals/groups (business talks, informal conversations).

Performed by computer software (Google Translate, DeepL).
