Religion: In the text it said that the chief priest had great power and controlled the vast wealth in the temple. The text also said that the Pharaho was suppost to act as the high priest. the priest had the titles to indicate their power , they weren't knows as " Gods servant.

Writing:
( HART 34) the text it said " Scribes had to be experts in writing hieroglyphs, an elaborate form of picture writing with about 700 different signs." Hieroglyphs were used in state monuments,temples.tombs,and religious papyri. Scribes living at the end of the civilization also had to be able to write Greek, the language of their overloads.
Location: in the text it said that the people of Egypt lived along the Nile , where they expected floods to fertilize the land. The Egyptians lived on canals extending from the Nile. This area was called the " black land" Which was names after the dark silt that helped the farmers grow their crops.

Architecture: In the text it states that the pharaoh was meant to perform duties of the high priest in every temple in Egypt, but his place was usually taken by the chief priest. In the great temples like Karnak at Thebes, Sacred to Amun-Re, King of the gods,the chief priest had great power and controlled the wealth in the temple treasures and the great land of temple estates.The office of the chief priest could be held in the hands of a family member for generations until the pharoh broke their hold by making an appointment from outside.

Government: On page 16 its says "In 221 B.C. the chinese emperor was formed." The Qin Soldiers took out the warring states under one leader, Zheng. The emperor took its name from the Qin to become China.

Art: On page 32 it says "The soft inks and delicate brush strokes used in calligraphy were also applied to painting." In the Song dynasty this technique was used to create great effects in the paintings of landscapes. For wet works that depicted rolling mists or stormy and fluffy clouds ,artists brushed ink washed into absorbent paper

Technology:On page 34 it says " Most people in imperial china lived in the countryside and worked in the fields." Most of the peasant farmers lived on carefully tended family owned plots of land. Even though they were not tied to any lord , They still has to pay taxes, serve in the army, and work for a certain amount of number of days each year on public works like roads and canals.

Religion: On page 12 it say that " Turmoil led confusion to develop a new moral outlook." It was based on kindness,respect,and the strongness of the family

Writing: On page 11 its says " The shang kings used oracle bones to cunsultt the ancestral spirits." The people would use an ox bone and scorch it until it cracks.They would read the cracks to find the answers , ultimately inscribing it on the bone. ( COTTERELL 11)
Commerce (Trade): On page 58 it says " Trade flourished under the mongol, or Yuan , dynasty." The mongol emperors ruled china from 1279 to 1368 and permitted merchants to trade freely throughout their vast empire.At home in china the mongols removed the usual restraints placed on merchants.
