Government : In early mesopotamia they lived in a way such a a s city State ! The text states "The small villages built in Mesopotamia between 7000 and 4000 BCE grew bigger" This means that they soon grew systems to make life work easier. They did things like learning how to do irrigation.(Steele 30)

Government: In the text it said that the pharaoh was supposed to perform duties of the high priest in every temple but it was actually the chief priest who did it. The text also said that the chief priest was very powerful and handled a lot of wealth. (Hart 28)
Ancient china
location: On page 6 the text said " China is the world's oldest continues civilization. Also from 221 B.C. to A.d. 1912, was united it was under a single great empire. Ancient china kept going on being untouched by outside influences because it was a world apart. (cotterell 6)
Technology: On page 22 the text said that " Some of the worlds greatest inventions came from china." All throughout china's history emperors encouraged science and technology. During the middle ages inventions and technology were carried throughout the silk road. (Cotterell 22)
Religion: On page 12 the text said that "Confucius Believed that the early years of the Zhou dynasty were golden years of social harmony." The king's authority was reduced meanwhile the ambitious lords fought each other for great power. After this Confucius developed a new moral outlook this was based on kindness, respect, and the strength of family. (Cotterell 12)
Commerce (Trade): On page 58 the text said " Trade Flourished under the mogol, or Yaun, dynasty." The mongol empires were ruling china from the years 1279 from 1368 an they permitted merchants to trade freely throughout their vast empire. They were controlling the whole entire silk road.
Art: On age 56 the text said that "China has always been renowned for it's exquisite arts and crafts." In China goods formed major export commodities bronze, jade, silk, lacquer, and porcelain. Even Though manufactured decorative objects had sophisticated techniques, they were usually massed produced. (Cotterell 56)
Writing: On page 11 it said that "The shang kings used Oracle bones to consult the ancestral spirits." The people would use an Ox bone or a tortoiseshell, scorching it until it cracks. They would read the cracks to find the answer, ultimatley inscribing it on the bone. (Cotterell 11)
government: On page 16 the text said that "In 221 B.C. the Chinese empire was formed." Also some of the Qin soldiers defeated all of their enemies, then they united the "Warring states" under one leader, which was Zheng. -Zheng showed his supremacy over the kings he had vanquished. (cotterell 16)
