location: on page 6 it said, Mesopotamia is what is now Iraq, turkey, syria,and iran. Greeks said mesopotamia means between two rivers (STEELE 6)
architecture: On page 24 it says there is a lasting symbol platform made from brick. it also looks very similar to the steps from the pyramids. they also built this at an early age in 5000 BCE. (Steele 24)
Religion: (Steele 14) The Sumerians had believed and worshiped many gods including goddesses. The Sumerians had believed that stars traveling across the dark night were cows of Sins or Nanna. The Sumerians had also believed in spirits like ghosts and even demons.

writing, on page 11 is said that " the shang king used oracle bones to consult the ancestral spirits" the people would use ox bone or tortoiseshell, scorching until it cracks.they would read the cracks to find the answer, ultimately inscribing on the bone.
