mesopotamia
location on page 6 it said Mesopotamia lays between the borders of Iraq. also we know that "two great rivers flow southward through the middle east." within mesopotamia there was a cooler mountain range in the north and wetlands in the south east. (Steele 6)
Architecture: Ziggurats are tapered clay structures usually between 2 and 7 floors tall. They were usually built on top of previous structures that were deemed too sacred to demolish. Each floor was usually a different color or it was entirely white.

religion: they worshiped many gods and believed that stars were the cows of sin and the moon is enki that also thought that spirits and ghost or demons were real.

government on page 10 it said that in most places wealthy and powerful people were giving special titles like king or governor or Lord these names are all signs of power and they also believed that the rulers were chosen by the gods and that they had to carry out different religions ceremonies

writing: On page 12 it said The world's first writing was The Cuneiform writing. It utilised 700 different symbols. This was used to make legal document ownership frames government letters and keeping track of cattle.

Ancient Egypt
location on page 8 it said that ancient Egyptians lived on both sides of the Nile river. in the text it said that "desert covers more than 90 percent of Egypt" the year begins with the flooding of the Nile, which brought rich silt to the farm land. (hart 8)
religion on page 24 it states that the Egyptians worshiped many gods and sometimes it is difficult to tell who is who. it also says that many gods and goddesses were represented by animals "overall the sun god was the dominant deity in Egypt religion although he couldn't take different forms."

architecture on page that the first pyramid were built as a barial place and that other kings also mad step pyramids and so they could climb closer to the sun god. (hart20)
government on page 12 it said that occasionally was able to gather and they would kiss the ground in front of the pharaoh and this is known because it is boasted about by a scribe. (hart 12)
art on page 56 it said that Gold could be shaped or melted into a shape they also were able to get a lot of gold because of the river and muck were there was a lot of it in the red sea and they used many different gyms to make interesting jewelry (hart 56)

writing scribes were people who made hy roglihics and they had to be well trained because if they weren't they would have there job taken and they made it hard to learn so as to have few people ableto to properly write (hart 34)

religion: on page 12 it said that they wanted you to worship your ansessters because they say it brings your family closer to each other and it is said that people need to govern with mutual respect. (cotterell 12)
government: in 221 bc the Chinese empire was formed. soon after Zheng took the title emperor of the Qin dynasty.during this time the emperor thought he could become immortal.

commerese: the text says that trade was good during the mongol and YUAN dynasty's during this time merchants were allowed to trade freely. during this time they controlled the entire silk road.

location: china was first united as a single state 221 bc by the first emperor. the empires ended when the Chinese republic was established in 1912 and lasted for 37 years and was destroyed by Japan.

technology we learned in class that the seismograph is a bowl that can help you determine when a earthquake happened and were it was being dragon heads with balls in them and if the ball falls it will land in a frog's mouth and the person will see this and send help.
art: on page 56 it said that there art was advanced compared to other countrys and that these things were very sotafter itams in other countrys these goods were made by artisans and they were very respected in there society because they made every thing that was sold
writting;on page 11 it said oracle bones were often ox bones or turtle shells. they would often use thesse to ask the gods questions. they would do this by ensribing questions and ansers on the bone then putting it on the fire and waiting for it to crack. (cotterell 11)
