Ancient Civilzation 
Mesopotamia
Location: An example is Mesopotamia was located between 2 river. Also, I know that "most ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq." During antiquity the soil around the rivers was very fertile. (Steele 6)
Religion: An example of religion in Ancient mesopotamia was their polytheism. polytheism is a form of religion where people believe more than one god/goddess. Aslo, some of the most known goddess are sin / nanna, moon god. who the mesopotamia believed owned cows who were the stars in the night sky.(Steele 14)
Architecture: An example is a ziggurats are a lasting symbol of Ancient Mesopotamia. On page 24 it says "A lasting symbol of Ancient Mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick." I know this because we have talked about ziggurats in class and have done other things for it.

Government: There were many examples of the government in ancient mesopotamia. one example was in a city-state, where the rulers embraced great power. Also, another example the government in mesopotamia was the assyrian empire. Akkad was located a bit north of sumer. and their most famous emperor was Sargon. Sargon is said to have gained tons of reasoroses and have made trading routes. And arguably reshaping government in the entire world. (Steele 10-22 )
Art: An example is that they would make pots out of clay by the eighth millennium. Also, I know that they invented the potter's wheel,which made pottery productions far more efficient. Lastly, by 3000 BCE, metalworks were mixing tin with the copper to produce the tough alloy called bronze. (Steele 28)
Writing: An example is that now they are making symbols/signs for writing. On page 12 it says that "The Sumerians devised the world's first script or writing system." I know this because it was used by later Mesopotamian peoples, including the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians. (Steele 12)

Ancient China
Religion: An example of the third dynasty (1027-256 B.C) that were the golden years of social harmony. Confucius believed that family relationships should also be governed by mutual respect, since strong family bonds formed the basis of a stable society. Confucius encouraged ancestor worship because it strengthened family loyalties. (Cottrell 12)
Commerce (Trade): An example is that they built roads and they also made a bunch of items. They controlled the length of the Silk Road, a series of trade routes that ran from Northern China across Asia. Chinese merchants amassed large fortunes by exporting luxury goods such as silk, spices, tea, porcelain and lacquerware. (Cotterell 58)
Art: An example is that China has lots of luxury crafts made from bronze, jade, silk, lacquer and porcelain. Chinese rulers controlled the supply of raw materials and ran facfortieries instead. They also created tools. (Cottrell 56
Government: An example China is the world's oldest continuous cilvilization. Ancient China remaIned untouched by outside influences because it was a world apart. Great thinkers such as confucius encouraged people to lead an ordered, family centered way of life. (Cottrell 6)
Location: An example is that China is one of the oldest continuous civilizations. Starting in 221 B.C to 1912 A.D. It has vast deserts mountain ranges that are cut off from china from other civilizations. (Cottrell 6)
Techonogly: An example is that a bunch of items changed the world completely by becoming so helpful. Some of the world's greatest inventions came from China. Other Chinese Inventions that made the world a different place were paper money, clockwork, silk, porcelain, fireworks, kites, umbrellas, and the wheelbarrow. (Cotterell 22)
Writing: An example of writing is the oracle bone which was used by Shang kings. Individuals would burn the the oracle bone, it would crack, and answer questions about their ancestors. These were created from ox bone or tortoiseshells. (Cottrell 11)
