Mesopotamia
regin Mesopotamia is an ancient region of West Asia situated between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, largely corresponding to modern-day Iraq. Known as the "Cradle of Civilization," it is where many of the most important developments in human history first emerged, including the invention of the wheel, writing, and agriculture. This fertile land was home to successive influential civilizations, such as the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians, who developed city-states, legal codes, and advanced knowledge in mathematics and astronomy
