      - religeon: On page 14 it shows that "they believed that the stars traveling across the night sy were the cows of sin".Innanna is the goddess of love. The sumerians also believed in spirits,ghosts,and demons. They would sometimes get new names. [Steele 14]
      - government: They liked going by the city states rulers. Sumerians rulers enjoyed great power and fame. Some of the rulers became famous such as gilgamash of uruk. [Steele 16
      - Architecture: Architecture: On page 24 in Mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick. The word ziggurat is assyrian and means ¨height¨ or ¨pinnacle¨. The ziggurats themselves had small temples or shrines on top, reached by long stairways. (Steele 24)
      - writing: on page 12 the sumerians deised the worlds first script of writiing system. They used symbols to represent objects such as cattle grain and fish. 3300 Bce the citizens of uruk used around 7oo different symbols. [Steele 12]
      - Location: location: on page 6 it said that mesopotamia lies between 2 rivers. Also, we know that " most of ancient mesopotamia lay within the border of modern iraq. the region is called the cradle of civilization. [Steele6]
