Ancient China
Location:On page 38-39 it states how they dominated the Yellow River and the Yangzi. The yellow river results in rich soil.Even though The river caused devastating floods. (Cotterell 38-39)
Writing: On page 11 it says That the people would use the an ox bone or a tortoiseshell for the oracle bones.They scorch the bone. Then they thought the cracks show the answers. The shang kings used oracle bones in order to speak with their ancestors. (cotterell 11)
commerce tradeon: page 58 it states "the Mongol emperors ruled china from 1279 to 1368 and permitted merchants to trade freely throughout their vast empire." They traded silver pieces,money shaped like shoes,and coins with a hole in it to tread something through. They controlled the silk road and would trade on it a lot. (cotterell 58)
