- - - - Mom: My mom has been one of my biggest supporters since I can remember. She is full of love for her kids and one of the kindest people I know. Our relationship isn't always the perfect mother-daughter relationship. My struggles with mental health put a huge strain on our relationship and put a lot of distance between us. Sometimes I feel like I can't communicate anything with her. On a more positive note, she taught me almost everything I know about kindness and being a decent human being, and I know I can fall back on her if I need her.
      - Dad: My dad and I are quite similar people. Out of all my siblings, I believe he and I have the most similar interests. We both like food, exercise, music, and books. He is an intensely fit person, working out every single morning without fail, and eating unfathomable things like kale and quinoa. I was inspired to get more into fitness because of him. He has been a big inspiration for me and has great advice if I need it.
    - - Mollie: My younger sister, only three years younger than me. We shared a room when we were younger. We don't always get along, as sisters often don't but we are close regardless. I tend to go to battle for my sister if the family is arguing. I grew up with a sense of not being able to compare to her, which is unusual I suppose because she is younger. However, she was the one with no allergies, no mental health issues, the best social skills, the best facial features. Most of my self confidence issues probably stem from comparing myself to her, which is something I am sure to be aware of so it doesn't turn into resentment.
      - Brody: The youngest sibling, he was born when I was 8. We have a sizeable age difference, but of course I love him anyway. I tried my best as a kid to make sure he was getting the ideas I thought were best for him. I was there for his first steps. He taught me how it feels to be responsible for someone and to be empathetic towards someone with a much different perspective from you.
      - Riley: My brother who is only 16 months younger than me. We were best friends going up, and we are still pretty close. We work together in the summer. My brother had a brain tumor when I was about 11. He underwent brain surgery and had medical issues to go alongside this. My parents were absolutely terrified during this time, understandably so. My sister and I felt left out and unnoticed, which sucked at the time, but it bonded us together for life. My brother taught me how it feels to be protective over someone you love, I will always fight for him.
  - - - Heidi: My roommate, my sister, my confidante. Meeting Heidi changed my life for the better. Heidi and I have been best friends for almost ten years, and we started living together last year. She has been one of the only constants in my life since middle school. She taught me so much about loyalty and relationships. We had a rough patch last year when my mental health got bad, but we made it through and we are closer than ever now. I probably owe her my life.
        
        This summer, Heidi and Daniel's dad passed away. Since then, we have had a bond I've never felt from anyone else. It was a terrible time for them but I was grateful to be able to be there for them. I have become a lot closer with their mom and have become, according to her, like another daughter. Going through this with them helped me to take a less selfish perspective on life and also taught me so much about grief and how as people we need to hold each other up through times of struggle.
      - Daniel: Heidi's brother, one of the triplets. While Heidi is my best friend, I would describe Daniel as being my twin flame, despite however corny that term may be. We understand each other on a level that I have never understood anyone else. We share some of the same issues, have been there for each other when there was no one else, and are able to come to each other with anything. He makes me laugh even when I am at my lowest.
- - - - The outdoors: My experience growing up in the outdoors and at the beach shaped me into who I am today. I care greatly about the Earth and everything living within it. I am inspired particularly by the ocean and its vastness, the creatures that live within it that have survived for millenia, and its capabilities to protect our atmosphere. I love nature.
