Light Phenomenons

Refraction
Light bends when it goes through a medium. This occurs as light slows down as it goes in a medium, and accelerates once it gets out. As light slows down, light bends towards the normal, and as it speeds up, light bends away from the normal.
Lenses
Concave lenses - This type of lenses bends light in a way rays of light spread apart from each other.

-
Wave - Distubances that transmits energy from one point to another, without transferring matter.
Transverse Wave - Wave that does not need matter in order to travel. This means that this type of wave can travel through vacuums. The wave travels perpendicular to the direction of the wave is travelling to. Light is an example of a transverse wave.
-
Longitudinal Wave - longitudinal wave are wave that needs matter to travel. The wave vibrate parallel to the direction the wave is travelling to.
