Homeostasis: Osmoregulation, Benji - Coggle Diagram
Homeostasis: Osmoregulation
High water content in blood
Receptors in the hypothalamus detect there is too much water in the blood
ADH secretion reduces or stops
Decrease in ADH
Kidney decreases water permiability
Increase in urine volume
Blood volume decreases until the levels return to normal
Decrease in urine concentration
Low water content in blood
Receptors in hypothalamus detect not enough much water in the blood
ADH (antidiuretic hormone) from pituitary gland is secreted depending on water levels.
AHD travels to kidneys via circulatory system
Kidney increases water permiability
Decrease in Urine volume
Increase in urine concentration
Blood volume increases until the levels return to normal
Increase in ADH

Respiration Equation
water byproduct of respiration
need to have enough water for
without enough water byproduct urine will be higher concentration
Glucose + Oxygen → Carbon Dioxide + Water + ATP + Heat
