Inter conversion of Matter(M)
Inter conversion of state fo matter.
The phenomenon of change of matter from one state to another state and back to original state by altering of temprature and pressure.
Melting Or Fusion-
Solid change into liquid state by observing heat energy.
Temperature on Fahrenheit scale(F)
= 9/5(C°)+32°C
Latent Heat of Vapourisation
- Amount of heat energy needed to convert 1kg of liquid into gaseous state.
Melting point-
A constant temprature at which solid change into liquid.
Latent heat of fusion
- Amount of heat energy needed to convert 1kg of solid into liquid.
Boiling Point-
A constant temprature at which liquid change into gaseous state.
Bioling or vapourisation-
Process in which Liquid changes into gaseous state by absorving heat energy.
Temperature on kelvin scale °K
= °C+273.15
Pressure Change
Evaporation-
Change of liquid from its surface to vapour state at any temprature below the boliing point of liquid.
Humidity-
Amount of water vapour present in air.
Freezing point-
A constant temprature at which gas change into liquid.
Difference between gas and vapour
-Substance exist in the gaseous state at room temprature called gases.
Sublimation-
Soild changes into gaseous state without passing liquid state, and back to solid when temprature is lowered.
Condensation or Liquefaction
- Gas change into liquid state by giving out heat energy.
Freezing or Solidification-
Liquid change into solid state by giving out heat energy.
Condensation Point-
A constant temprature at which gas change into liquid.
