Apothecaries provided concoctions of herbs and medicine e.g garlic

What would the everyday life of a doctor look like?
Writing and drawing in medical journals in Latin
Consulting monks, (herbs and God) apothecaries (pharmacies), wise women (witchcraft and childbirth)
Consulting astrology charts and analysing urine for diagnoses and treatment
Mixing herbal remedies used as medicine
Visiting patients in homes or marketplaces, or monasteries (medieval hospitals)

What would your role in a war be?
Doctors would treat wounds and stop bleeding on the battlefield

Travelling Quacks- lowest tier more like sales people
Monks-High respect in church hierarchy
Wise women- lower tier, alongside peasants and labourers
Physicians-just below nobility, above merchants due to education
Barber-surgeons-middle tier alongside craftsmen
Apothecaries- middle tier, with other merchants
What conditions would you treat the most?
Doctors would treat skin infections and rashes
Doctors would treat complicated childbriths
Doctors would treat fevers, general sickness and the plague
Doctors would treat injuries from workplaces and wars
'Barber' surgeons removed teeth, set broken bones, preformed minor surgery
