reasons
after the 7 year war Britain were in debt after protecting America so they began to tax America with the sugar tax and the stamp act and the Townshend duties
the Boston massacre on the 5th of march 1770. this was when people were revolting in Boston and they stared being aggressive to some British guards by throwing snowballs and stones at them this caused the guards to retaliate and fired there guns into the crowd which killed 5
the Boston tea party in 1773 happened after new taxes on tea were brought in (the tax was light), this caused a boycott to take place against tea, then in December 1773 when 3 ships landed with tea worth over £10,000 was pushed over board and sank (342 boxes of tea) this then started the American revolution
between 1770 to 1773 it was very calm and not much revolting happening as lots where still loyal to Britain and union between the colonies was still low
