As you revisit these pieces of writing in small groups, you might want to consider how Wong frames "community" (xviii-xxii). Why is community powerful? Why is it magical? What does "resistance" as a community look and feel like, and why might that matter?
community as the everyday people: doing the resistance work that is maybe invisible
representation is not just acknowledging; "through belonging there is community"
the limits of being isolated and not feeling like one has a voice, and then collective action/organizing/speaking truth to power
created through social media/technology/networks
a community that shares common interest is powerful, and it builds connections to give public representation for those inside and outside of communities--it increases political participation
