War suffering
Families at home faced food shortages and famine
The army had very low morale and weren't very welldiscipline
Millions of soldiers died in the war

Inflation made wages almost worthless as the prices kept increasing
Many factories closed which left lots of workers unemployed
Bread queues became extremely long
Tsar's leadership
He was blamed for military defeats after 1915
The Tsars absence left power with the Tsarina who was very unpopular
Nicholas II ignored advice from all of the Dumas
Social inequality
Workers suffered from unsafe working conditions
The Tsar still controlled most of the land and all the wealth
Peasants remained poor and wanted land reform
Opposition movements
Strikes and protests became more organised
Soldiers began to side with the revolutionaries instead of the Tsar
Socialist groups spread revolutionary ideas across Russia
