- - - - In my community, subcultures exist but they aren't visible as the ones in the UK. Most people tend to follow popular trends, so smaller groups with unique style are not always easy to notice. Festivals like the Whitby Goth Weekend are rare here, and when it does happen, they are usually smaller.
      - Music plays a huge role in shaping who we are. The type of music we listen to often reflects our personality, mood, or even our values. For example, someone who enjoys calm songs might seem more relaxed and thoughtful, while a person who listens to rock or hip-hop might seem energetic. Sharing the same music taste creates a sense of belonging.

        I learned that subcultures are small communities within society that give people a sense of belonging. They aren't always rebellious—some, like surfers, promote ecology and plogging.         In Korean schools, subcultures are often organised through clubs or religious gatherings outside of school. For example, students may join groups related to K-pop, board games, anime, or bands. Festivals in Korea are mostly centred around K-pop, and they attract large audiences, allowing people to celebrate their identities. This is similar in spirit to Whitby Goth Weekend, even if the focus is different.
        
        Music is very important because it expresses our emotions, values, and the communities we belong to. It influences our relationships with others and our outlook on life. Music also helps us realize our identities as we participate in communities built around it.

        In my community, subcultures are still important, especially for young people and creative groups. They give people a chance to show who they are, share hobbies, and feel part of something outside the usual culture. I do not join big events like Whitby Goth Weekend, but there are local festivals for things like traditional culture or religious events. These are usually planned by cultural or religious groups, and are held in schools, malls, convention centers, and religious buildings like church. They show both variety and belonging, showing that even in a global world, special cultural identities can still grow locally.

        In my community, subcultures are rarely visible. however, with the advancement of the internet many people are creating online communities and enjoying in their favorite communities. Sometimes, members of subculture communities even hang out. For example, they form communities through various events like punk concerts and comic book events.
        
        I believe music is a most important tool in shaping someones identity. This is because music show an individual's values, emotions, and worldview. For example, there are rock, hip-hop, rap, K-pop, etc. People express their emotions through the genres they listen to. Therefore, I believe music is not simply a tool, but rather a tool that reflects cultural and social identity.

        I learned that subcultures are small communities with values different from those of mainstream society.
