Fixed-choice Assessment
What is it?
A โselectionโ item where students choose the correct response from given options (e.g., multiple-choice, true/false, matching).
It is objective, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
It mainly measures reproduction of knowledge, not complex language use.
Cannot measure higher-level skills like creativity, argumentation, or integrated communication.

Examples:
Multiple-choice grammar test: Students select the correct form of the verb in reported speech.
True/False reading comprehension: After reading a passage, students decide if statements are true or false.
