        Producers (like plants or algae) are the foundation of any ecosystem
        
        Why does it matter if an animal feeds on a producer?
        Because it tells you how early that animal is in the food chain
      - Feed primary consumers (herbivores)
        
        Make the Ecosystem Balance: if one animal eats 3000 calories, try spreading it out equally on different producers
        
        Try not having the producer left to 0 calories provided
        
        How does a producer disappear due to overconsumption?
        
        Producers (plants, algae) generate a fixed amount of calories/energy per cycle (time unit)
        
        Imagine a plant patch that can regrow 1000 calories per day but is eaten 1200 calories per day — it loses biomass over time
        
        How to Avoid This
        
        Balance consumers among multiple producers
        
        Ensure total consumption ≤ total production for each producer
        
        How to decide which primary consumer(s) to remove when a producer is overexploited:
        
        Identify which consumers consume the most calories from that overloaded producer.
        Removing a high-calorie consumer frees more resources quickly.
        
        Prefer removing consumers that rely heavily on the overused producer only (specialists).
        Keep consumers that can eat multiple producers or have more flexible diets.
        
        Consumers with low reproduction rates or vulnerable survival might be less sustainable and better candidates for removal.
      - Then feed secondary/tertiary consumers (predators)
        
        Choose the ones that can feed on the primary consumers
        
        Start with eating the primary producer with the highes calories provided
      - Tertiary Consumers / Apex Predators
        
        How to Decide: Two Secondary Consumers vs. Adding Tertiary/Apex Predators
        
        Apex predators need a lot of energy, so supporting them requires a strong base of prey (secondary and primary consumers).
        If your ecosystem has limited total calories, it might be better to choose two secondary consumers rather than an apex predator that requires a larger energy investment
