President Hồ Chí Minh/ also called Uncle Hồ
is a great leader of Vietnam.
DATE OF BIRTH
He was born on May 19th, 1890
in Nghe An province
IN 1911
he left Vietnam on a French ship.
Because, at that time, Vietnam was under French rule/ ADMINISTRATION
VIETNAMESE PEOPLE (that lived under French colonisation)
were very poor
had no freedom.
He then traveled to many countries in ..
Asia
and Europe.
Africa
He learned how to fight for freedom.
PART 2: VIETNAMESE'S NATIONAL DAY
In 1945
the Vietnamese people won the August Revolution.
President Ho Chi Minh
read the Declaration of Independence
on September 2nd, 1945
at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi.
He STATED that Vietnam was now
a free
and independent country.
2/9 SEPTEMBER 2ND
People celebrate this day every year.
Since then, September 2nd (2/9) has become Vietnam’s National Day.
